About Us

Welcome to Ceylon Tea Academy ! Nestled in the beautiful hills and green landscapes of Sri Lanka, the Ceylon Tea Academy is a place where people learn all about tea. It started in 2017 with Mr. Harshana Dassanayake, who wanted to explore Sri Lanka’s great tradition of making tea and help make the tea industry even better.
The academy’s main goal is to keep alive the skills and knowledge needed to make a good cup of Ceylon tea. We do this by offering special classes facilitated by industry professionals who have expertise about tea. These classes let you experience everything about growing, making, and tasting tea, from the quiet tea gardens up to retail and distribution .

What makes us – The Ceylon Tea Academy special is how much they care about doing things well. Every class is carefully planned to teach not just facts but also practical skills giving you a hands on experience – whether you’re just starting to like tea or you already know a lot, there’s something for everyone at the academy !
